Irrevocable
by Shay Savage
Irrevocable Summary:
Have you ever made a mistake?
A big one?
I’m back in Chicago and back in business with my boss,
Rinaldo Moretti. So much for my run at a
normal life. There are some new faces in
the organization, and someone’s been cooking the books. Personally?
I think they’re after more than a just little cash. If I have any hopes of flushing out the
traitor, I’m going to need to find a good hooker to help me sleep at night.
As the bodies pile up, I find solace in Alina. There’s something about her, something
different. She understands me without asking
a lot of questions. It’s as if she’s
known me for years, yet we’ve only just met.
If I weren’t so distracted by business, I’d try to figure out her story. She’s the only one keeping me grounded as my world
spins out of control.
I’m going to lose the one man who has ever meant anything to
me – the only man to ever call me son. I
want to deny his request, but there is no avoiding what awaits me. I never wanted any of this, but I’m out of options,
and time is running out.
Some choices have unforeseen consequences, and some choices
are simply irrevocable.
All good things must come to an end and what an end. Irrevocable is the last book in the Evan
series by Shay Savage. I have read all
the books up to this point so I was excited to see what the future holds for
Evan, questions answered and an ending for him, but not how I thought it would
be.
Evan is back in Chicago and still suffering from PTSD and
has returned to his boss who he feels is the only one that deserves his
loyalty. One thing that I had to come to
grips with is he just let Lia go. I was
rooting for them the whole time but he just lets her go. I guess she was just too close for him and it
was his only way for them both to find a HEA in time. But this is Evan’s story not Lia and Evan’s
story, but I would love to know that she has found her happiness, but we will
have to come up with our own ideas about that.
He starts to sleep with Alina, a hooker, who is able to keep the
nightmares away. She is also not like
Lia. He finds something more in her than
just a sleeping partner. He is starting
over but as I know Evan, normal will never work for him. And it would not be part of the Evan series
without suspense, drama, action, and keep you gripping your seat.
I enjoyed that last book.
It answered some questions and was a great ending for the series. Do I wish to have a little more closure for
Lia, yes, but as I said its Evan’s story and Evan just will not have the normal
ending you think. The action and drama
are nailed as always. I am sad to see it
end but it has to at some point. I look
forward to what Shay comes out with next…I will miss Evan but his story has
come full circle.
